After another day of dominance, Australia piled on the runs on the opening day of the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground as they ended the day with 345 runs for the loss of just three wickets. Usman Khawaja and Joe Burns belted their way to brilliant centuries en route a 258-run second-wicket partnership before perishing.

Come day two, on Sunday (December 27), Australia will hope to captialise on the start they've been given and post as large a first innings total as they can and leave the rest upto their bowlers.

West Indies will need to put day one behind themselves and make a fresh start. The fielding will need to complement the bowling and together, as a unit, they need to click and pose a challenge to Australia, who seem unperturbed at the moment.

What does day two of the Test hold? We'll know when Steve Smith and Adam Voges take the field in half an hour's time.
